MY Aerobic System Alarm Light Went Off – What Should I Do?

troubleshoot system alarm on aerobic septic system amber and red light flashing or on

SYSTEM ALARMS

There are two alarms which are designated by red and amber colored bulbs. Red represents a high water alarm (HWA). Amber represents an aeration alarm (COMP). For each alarm light there is a corresponding audible alarm which can be muted.

What to do if you have an alarm:

Red light flashing on aerobic septic system pump breaker

RED FLASHING LIGHT

If alarm is on and the sprinklers are spraying, stop using any water and wait. Eventually it will drop water level below the alarm level.

If the alarm is on and the sprinklers are not spraying, make sure breaker, labeled pump, is on inside the control panel.

compressor switch is in the up position when amber alarm is on for aerobic septic system

AMBER ALARM

If alarm is on, make sure compressor switch is in the up position (only applies to some models). Check 1/8 inch air tube for leaks starting at front or side of compressor and ending at bottom right rear corner of control panel. Make sure breaker, labeled comp, is on inside the control panel.

About Us

WHY "SILVERBACK"

Throughout the various professional roles we have held, we found a natural identification with the Silverback Gorilla characteristics; some chosen, some natural progression, some from EXPERIENCING  life. However, all are applicable to our passion we have to serve our clients. We proudly and respectfully take responsibility for our clients and their business and do so through the wisdom we have gained over the course of our careers.

THE SILVERBACK GORILLA

A Silverback is typically more than 12 years of age (life span 35-40 years), and is named for the distinctive patch of silver hair on his back, which comes with maturity. Gorillas are considered highly intelligent.

The Silverback is the center of the troop's attention, making all the decisions, mediating conflicts, determining the movements of the group, leading the others to feeding sites, and taking responsibility for the safety and well-being of the troop.

When the group is attacked by humans, leopards, or other gorillas, an individual Silverback will protect the group, even at the cost of his own life.
